Harper’s BAZAAR

Harper’s BAZAAR Magazine March 2017

I decided to showcase some of the magazines I received earlier this year! I was planning to let my readers know about the magazines I received from January 2017 to June 2017 sometime in July 2017 without pictures or brief descriptions. You can look forward to a couple of my favorite advertisements from the 76 or so magazine issues I have received since January 2017 when I write my six months of magazines review blog post! I have been receiving magazines again since November 2015. I really love magazines and I really love all the magazines I have been receiving in the mail. I have written blog posts on magazine issues I have received from April 2017. The magazines I chose to write about on my product review blog from before May 2017 were sent to me with atleast a product sample. I have decided to write about some of the magazine issues that were sent to me without samples or removable fragrance sheets. While I was planning to focus on magazines that were sent to me with some type of sample. Some magazine issues I receive do not have any type of sample or product but they are quite beautiful.

The March 2017 issue of Harper’s BAZAAR Magazine: The Height Of Fashion, is apart of the Harper’s BAZAAR 150th Anniversary Collector’s Edition. I really like the March 2017 issue of Harper’s BAZAAR Magazine I received in the mail. This magazine shows a lot of fabulous fashion in beautiful advertisements! The March 2017 issue of Harper’s BAZAAR Magazine was sent to me in plastic and is double sided. The first side of the 2017 March issue of Harper’s BAZAAR Magazine has 455 pages! I am used to magazine issues with atleast 400 pages and I have been wondering if magazines no longer have a lot of pages because a lot of the magazines I have been receiving seem to have less than 300 pages.

Within this side of the March 2017 issue of Harper’s BAZAAR Magazine I was surprised to find some fragrance advertisements that were not scented advertisements. I really wish I could begin receiving bottled or vialed fragrances but I really enjoy atleast knowing the scent of the fragrance advertised. I haven’t recently looked through my earlier issues of the magazines I received but this is one of the first magazines I’ve seen with just the advertisement and no scent. Page 208 and 209 of the March 2017 issue of Harper’s BAZAAR Magazine advertises two Prada fragrances on a very beautiful glossy paper. Page 208 advertises Prada Milano DAL 1913 LA Femme Prada and page 209 advertises Prada Milano DAL 1913 L’Homme Prada. The March 2017 issue of Harper’s Bazaar Magazine does have two scented advertisements to include: Chanel Paris Coco Mademoiselle on page 160 and Giorgio Armani Armani Code Colonia on page 177.

Page 455 of the first side of the March 2017 issue of Harper’s BAZAAR Magazine leads you to the second side of Harper’s BAZAAR Magazine which shows a few moments of the 70 years of Dior in Harper’s BAZAAR. Page 455 reads: Celebrate the 150th anniversary of Harper’s BAZAAR and the 70th anniversary of Dior’s groundbreaking first collection. Turn the page for a look back at our shared history—a story worth flipping for.

From this photographed cover of Harper’s BAZAAR Magazine the March 2017 issue of Harper’s BAZAAR Magazine has 16 pages and the last page is doubled with page 455 of the front side of the March 2017 issue of Harper’s BAZAAR Magazine. There are no scented advertisements but I really enjoyed the photography displayed. I found one of my favorite Dior fashion advertisements I wrote about in my second blog post on the April 2017 issue of Harper’s BAZAAR Magazine in this side of the March 2017 issue of Harper’s BAZAAR Magazine dedicated to Dior’s greatest moments!

ban unscented Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant purchased from Walmart Product Review

December 2016 I was introduced to a new deodorant. I already have a favorite deodorant that I use so I did not use the ban unscented Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant I was given. The ban deodorant I was given was purchased from Walmart. I have been using this deodorant for any underarm concerns here and there throughout the year so far. Since beginning my product review blog and seeing an advertisement for this product in the May 2017 issue of Better Homes & Gardens Magazine on page 13 I do not mind reviewing this product for my readers.

I love to shop in my local Walmart. A few times while shopping I have seen this deodorant in the personal care/hygiene aisle. This specific brand of deodorant is not a product that I would regularly purchase. I was surprised to see an advertisement for this antiperspirant deodorant in the May 2017 issue of Better Homes & Gardens Magazine on page 13. Better Homes & Gardens Magazine did not send me the ban unscented Roll-On antiperspirant deodorant photographed below next to the ban advertisement printed in the May 2017 issue of Better Homes & Gardens Magazine on page 13. I have been receiving the Better Homes & Gardens Magazine in the mail since November 2015. I do not know the Better Homes & Gardens Magazine to provide products and samples. While Better Homes & Gardens is a very interesting magazine it is not a magazine I will showcase on my product review blog.

Using deodorant for my underarms is apart of my personal hygiene routine and something I have always done. It is important to find and wear a good deodorant! I will not purchase ban unscented Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant or any of the other ban Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorants to include the regular and powder fresh scents.

The ban unscented Roll-On Antiperspirant deodorant my mother purchased from Walmart does not expire until 09/2019. As stated on the ban deodorant I was given: ban is specially formulated to leave no white marks, glides on smooth, is non irritating and reduces underarm perspiration. The ban deodorant bottle and the printed advertisement featured in the May 2017 issue of Better Homes & Gardens Magazine on page 13 is quite misleading. This product does not provide invisible protection and it is not like standard invisible solid deodorants. After applying the ban unscented Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant to my underarms I could see the deodorant on my skin. If I were going to consider purchasing a new deodorant the first thing I would like to see is the deodorant applies clear. The ban unscented Roll-On Antiperspirant deodorant I was given is unscented. If you are considering purchasing this product you will need to reapply the ban antiperspirant deodorant often throughout the day. This antiperspirant deodorant from ban is not a lasting formula.

Comment below or email me if you’ve had a different experience with ban antiperspirant deodorants.

marie claire Magazine April 2017

marie claire is one of the newer magazines I have begun reading. The fashion displayed on the April 2017 front cover of marie claire Magazine is very interesting! The April 2017 issue of marie claire Magazine has 170 pages. Something about the April 2017 issue of marie claire Magazine is very beautiful. marie claire is the website and magazine women turn to for information on fashion, style, hairstyles, beauty, women issues, career, health and relationships. As I was reading the April 2017 issue of marie claire Magazine I found a Chanel sample on page 33.

Photograph taken from marie claire Magazine by Vanita Perry

This Blue Serum sample by Chanel in the April 2017 issue of marie claire Magazine on page 33 feels like a moisturizer. The sample size provided is enough for a first impression. I really wish I could have received the cosmetic bottle photographed in the above picture instead. According to page 34 in the April 2017 issue of marie claire Magazine Blue Serum is a new diet for your skin. Chanel Research sourced three longevity ingredients from the Blue Zones and uniquely extracted the most potent essences to manage the effects of time. These three ingredients include green coffee, olive and lentisk. I will update my readers in a future blog post about my experience with the Chanel Blue Serum sample I found in the April 2017 issue of marie claire Magazine.

The April 2017 issue of marie claire Magazine also has a few scented advertisements. I was excited to find a different type of scented advertisement within this issue of marie claire Magazine.

It was interesting to see a detach & spray scented advertisement on page 91 of the April 2017 issue of marie claire Magazine. ALIEN is a fragrance from Mugler. I will more than likely detach this perfume and wear it for a day or two. Along with ALIEN by Mugler the April 2017 issue of maire claire Magazine has scented advertisements for Love Relentlessly the new fragrance by Tony Burch on page 44 and Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel Paris on page 58.

COSMOPOLITAN

COSMO Magazine April 2017

I had a difficult time viewing what I believe is the front cover of the April 2017 issue of COSMOPOLITAN Magazine. My mailing address was designed into the layout on the front view of the magazine. This cover is not photographed and it was labeled as a COSMOPOLITAN Advertisement. The advertisement asks you to look at a head & shoulders advertisement on the back of what I thought was the front cover. The front cover labeled as a COSMOPOLITAN Advertisement was glued with an adhesive over this cover.

Photograph taken from COSMOPOLITAN Magazine by Vanita Perry

If the initial front cover had not directed me with an arrow to view a head & shoulders advertisement I would have never known there was another page resembling a front cover in the April 2017 issue of COSMOPOLITAN Magazine. Without the arrow design on the first cover asking me to view what I thought would be the back of the front cover or the first page of the April 2017 COSMOPOLITAN Magazine the next page is a two-sheet head & shoulders advertisement, a two-sheet Maybelline advertisement and a St. Ives advertisement followed by the April 2017 COSMOPOLITAN Magazine Contents page on page 8. I was upset to see the more interesting COSMOPOLITAN Magazine front cover for the April 2017 issue of COSMOPOLITAN with glue and paper from the COSMOPOLITAN advertisement placed over it. This was really upsetting. I would not expect COSMOPOLITAN to design a magazine in this fashion. On another note I am really confused as to why consumers receive some magazines with two front covers. I never know who was photographed to receive the front cover of these magazines and I am having a difficult time with my photography for this product review blog.

The April 2017 issue of COSMOPOLITAN Magazine has 196 pages and a few scented advertisements to include: Chanel Paris Coco Mademoiselle on page 18, Dior Poison Girl on page 36, Paco Rabanne Olympéa on page 78 and Paco Rabanne Olympéa Intense on page 78 as well. The April 2017 issue of COSMOPOLITAN Magazine was a very interesting read! I especially liked the “What Kind Of Flirt Are You?” quiz on page 196. For this COSMO Quiz I answered Mostly C’s. The Breakdown told me I am The Bashful Flirt: You shrink under attention, even when the feels are reciprocated. No shame in being an introvert, but try going beyond your comfort zone. When a guy expresses interest, resist the urge to bolt. If you push through your discomfort, the right words–and person–will come along.

Photograph taken from COSMOPOLITAN Magazine by Vanita Perry

I did not like the two-sheet Bioré free your pores advertisement on pages 56-57 in the April 2017 COSMOPOLITAN Magazine but I did have a wonderful first impression with the Bioré free your pores sample provided on page 57. I used this sample sometime in April 2017 when I first received this magazine in the mail. Unfortunately for this first impression sample review I do not remember if this issue of COSMOPOLITAN Magazine provided a Bioré free your pores Baking Soda Acne Scrub sample or a Bioré free your pores Charcoal Acne Scrub sample. When looking at the Bioré free your pores advertisement on page 57 I am able to conclude I did use one of the Bioré free your pores acne scrubs and not the Bioré free your pores Charcoal Acne Clearing Cleanser because there were exfoliating beads within the sample I did use.

I have found a new product and I cannot wait to purchase it for the first time with the $3.00 off manufacturer coupon Bioré free your pores and COSMOPOLITAN Magazine provided on page 57 as well. I am interested in buying or receiving these products to provide my readers with a more thorough review of these specific Bioré free your pores products! I never truly have acne but I like to cleanse and exfoliate my skin just the same. The sample provide on page 57 of the April 2017 issue of COSMOPOLITAN Magazine was enough for one full application. After removing the product my skin felt smoother and softer then before I used the sample. Even after my skin dried I really did not need a moisturizer. The Bioré free your pores acne scrubs seem to work very well. I really like exfoliates and cleansers with salicylic acid. Most times when I purchase a cleanser or exfoliate salicylic acid is the main ingredient.

redbook Magazine May 2017

The May 2017 issue of redbook Magazine has two front covers. The first cover of the May 2017 issue of redbook Magazine is photographed above. This side of the May 2017 issue of redbook Magazine has 161 pages. There is a mailing label designed in the layout. I don’t agree with placing mailing labels on magazines this way. I am unable to see the complete outfit showcased.

Photograph taken from redbook Magazine by Vanita Perry

I really like the second cover. It is a very lovely picture. The second side of the May 2017 issue of redbook Magazine has 31 pages.

While the May 2017 issue of redbook Magazine does not have any scented advertisements. I did find a sample! There is a Garnier® SkinActive® Moisture Bomb sample on the second side of the May 2017 issue of redbook Magazine on page 17.

Photograph taken from redbook Magazine by Vanita Perry

The sample provided on page 17 of the May 2017 issue of redbook Magazine is enough for a first impression. There is not enough for a complete product review. I am excited to try this product. I will update my readers about my experience with this sample in a future blog post.

redbook Magazine was one of the first magazines I was subscribed to. It is a wonderful magazine. redbook Magazine provides anti-aging products and trends, amazing home décor items, fabulous & affordable fashion and delicious healthy eats. You should definitely subscribe to redbook Magazine!

W Magazine April 2017

The April 2017 issue of W Magazine is titled Next Up.

Photograph taken from W Magazine by Vanita Perry

I just started reading W Magazine again and the paper used for this publication is very nice. I love looking through this magazine. It is very beautiful.

The April 2017 issue of W Magazine was also sent to me with a mailing label on the front cover. This is the “hers and his” edition and I was able to find out what was behind the mailing label on the front cover of W Magazine on the cover of M Magazine which is on the opposite side of the above photograph. The front cover reads: The Women and Men Transforming the Worlds of Fashion, Design, Art, Music, and Film.

Photograph taken from W Magazine by Vanita Perry

I would like to know if M Magazine is an actual publication. I could not find this magazine online. The Men’s section of W Magazine’s website does not display this cover.

W Magazine ends on page 115. Then the back cover which reads M Magazine is the front view and this publication has 55 pages. I did not like the April 2017 issue of W Magazine because the scented advertisements were found in the men section described as M magazine. M magazine includes Mr. Burberry on page 17 and My Burberry Black on page 18.

W Magazine May 2017

The May 2017 issue of W Magazine is titled Flash ForwardW Magazine is larger than the standard size magazines I receive. I really like the width and height of this magazine. The size is very impressive! The May 2017 issue of W Magazine has a 110 pages and two scented advertisements: Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb on page 22 and Chanel Paris Nº5 L’eau on page 36.
